Aaron Fike on Lowe’s Motor Speedway:
“As is always the case at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, I’m excited about running there this weekend. We’ve had a couple weeks off to regroup and we’ve done some testing which should help our program out a bit. Jamie Jones and everybody on the team have been doing a great job and I’m looking forward to getting back to racing on Friday night.”
Aaron Fike on Testing at Lowe’s Motor Speedway:
“Testing was good,” said Fike. “We learned a lot and I think we ended the test feeling pretty good about our truck.”
Red Horse Racing to Host An Urban Youth:
Red Horse Racing will play host to Aaron Gordon, a student from Philadelphia’s Urban Youth Racing School, this weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Gordon (19), who is from West Philadelphia, will intern with the No. 1 Red Horse Racing team during the Quaker Steak and Lube 200 presented by Circle K on Friday night. Gordon is one of four students who are participating in the 2007 Craftsman Career Development Program. Through the program, the students will see racing’s “business” side through a schedule that follows the team’s preparation for and participation in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event this weekend. Various activities during the week will expose the students to other aspects of the motorsports industry.
Red Horse Teammates Call N.C. Home:
Two very important members of the Red Horse Racing team hail from North Carolina. Office Manager Amanda London is from Hickory, while Josh Chaney, who carries rear tires for the No. 1 team, calls Mount Airy home. In addition, Team Co-Owner Jeff Hammond is from Charlotte, making the event at Lowe’s Motor Speedway very important for everyone on the Red Horse Racing team.
